We were sorry that we were unable to stay for a second night as they were fully booked. The room was warm, comfortable and the ensuite clean and spacious. The food, both in the evening and at breakfast were fully deserving of the high reputation that this hostelry has (judging by the numbers dining that evening). All I can say is :- Dine there, stay there, you won't regret it.

We were visiting the Dales for first time in many a year and
Aysgarth made a perfect base.
The food was very good and the friendly and helpful staff were a delight.

The Inn had plenty of character and we felt it a shame we were only passing through as the countryside and area looked good to explore.
The food in the restaurant was top quality. Truly very delicious. Well worth visiting if you are close for the food alone.

We were made very welcome in a comfortable and friendly establishment
We had a pleasant stay in North Yorkshire and enjoyed the food, quality of beer and friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was plentiful, hot and sourced with local produce. The room was comfortable and all that we needed. The hotel was in an ideal location for exploring the Northern Dales and there was plenty to see in the area. Although, we didn't bring our black labrador, the hotel would have been happy for him to be with us. Do have a meal or two in the restaurant-tasty and good value

Warm and well-fed in the snow
We booked a long weekend just as the snows began. The hotel was warm and welcoming. The food excellent and the walking spectacular - frozen falls, snow-covered fells.
So friendly with excellent real ale and brilliant food. The mid-winter half-board offer was absolutely excellent value and quality.
No - everything you could wish for from a country pub in the depths of winter.

Welcoming and friendly staff throughout. Comfortable accommodation, immaculately clean. Dinner was excellent and very good value. The black pudding risotto and scallop starter was splendid! The two waitresses were very efficient and pleasant, taking their lead from the patroness.
It still retains the ambience of a village inn but with modern facilities in the bedrooms and interesting wine themed decoration in the dining rooms.
No - village inns like this are increasingly rare in terms of quality and value for money. Long may it stay the same.
Would recommend to a friend.

Great place to stay to visit Aysgarth Falls and surrounding area. Clean room, comfortable beds, friendly locals in pub (lovely log fire) and delicious food - all at a very reasonable price.

I stayed here for one night, with a colleague, because it was in a convenient location after a long day of driving for work. I would go out of my way to stay here again, in my own time.
The room was very recently, and very well, decorated. All the facilities you would expect to be there were there, and the bed was comfortable too. Evening meal was extraordinary. AB Berkshire.
